Italian Field Hockey Tour

Day 1

Depart Toronto on your overnight flight to Milan, Italy.

Day 2

Arrival in Milan international airport and meeting with your bilingual tour manager. She will take care of all your needs during your tour in Italy. Transfer to the hotel in Bra (Piedmont region). Check-in at the hotel, time to relax followed by dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

After breakfast, transfer to Turin  - the major city as well as a business and cultural centre in northern Italy, home of the last edition of Winter Olympic Games. Visit with an official bilingual guide and lunch on your own. In the afternoon transfer to a local sport centre to play your 1st friendly match vs. a local team. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

After breakfast, departure to Tuscany region and transfer along the Tyrrhenian Coast. Stop on the way, possibility to spend a little time on the sand beaches  of Viareggio or Forte dei Marmi. Around 4.00 p.m. arrival in Pisa and guided visit. You will have the chance to see the worldwide famous Leaning Towers (entry ticket not included). At the end final transfer to Montecatini Terme, nice SPA town close to Florence. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 5

After breakfast, transfer to the Heart of Renaissance: Florence. Guided visit of the city centre among the rests of the 15th and 16th centuries. Enjoy the wonderful “David” of Donatello placed in “Piazza della Signoria”. At the end lunch on your own and plenty of time to visit the city on your own. Transfer back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. 

Day 6

After breakfast, transfer to Siena - nice medieval town, famous also for the Palio (the medieval horses races which is held on the main square of this town). Lunch on your own. Free time for personal exploration of the city and for shopping. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Montecatini Terme.

Day 7

After breakfast, north Italy departure and transfer along the Tyrrhenian Coast. On the way to Como , stop in Genoa – a famous and big sea town. Lunch on your own and time for shopping. Transfer to a local sport centre to play your 2nd friendly match vs. a local team. Final transfer to Como, check-in at the hotel, late dinner and overnight.

Day 8

After breakfast, guided visit of the city centre of Como. Time at leisure for shopping and lunch on your own. Possibility of a wonderful boat trip on lake Como by public boat on your own (excursion not included). In the afternoon possibility to go to Milan, the Italian most important fashion & economical city or visit Lugano (Switzerland) - surrounded by mountains and a splendid lake, Lugano brings together all the characteristics of a metropolis of great style, despite maintaining the traits of a small city. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9

After breakfast, hotel check-out and transfer to Milan international airport to take your flight back home to Toronto.
